Important Reminders:
- Picture Day is Tuesday, October 5th first thing in the morning.
- Please have your child arrive on time, dressed and ready!
- Have them pack their PE shirt and sneakers to change into afterwards.
- Students are expected to wear their PE shirt to school on Tuesdays, unless otherwise told.

Please ask your child about:
- Having our first MONDAY of the school year!
- Learning about the human eye AND the experiment we did with our cornea and retina "replicas"
- Using ratio tables, number lines, rectangular arrays/area models to solve multiplication and division problems
- Doubling / halving one factor in a multiplication expression
- Book recommendations and commenting on Seesaw
- International Dot Day
- Progress on their realistic fiction stories (i.e. character traits)
- Speed Sorts & Rainbow Writing with our spelling word sorts
- Ms. Alea Bird and Mr. Addison's first monthly visit to our classroom
Announcements:
- Starting next week, we are introducing CURSIVE into the homework routine. You will notice one cursive HW sheet, front and back, going home on Monday. Please make sure your child completes it by Friday.
- 4th graders are growing machines. We have noticed that some students are eating all of their food at our morning snack time and don't have any food left for lunch. Please have a conversation with your child to see if they need more food to sustain their energy throughout the day.
- If you have not sent your child in with a composition notebook for STEEL PANS, please do so by Monday.
- Picture Day is in October. More details to follow.
